Also, I've decided I want to try to write (in RP, that is) in a more formal, scripted way. You don't have to do the same if you don't want to, but I'm trying to get some writing and/or more serious RP practice in and for a long time I've been feeling silly using * to represent actions. Of course, when I say it's more formal it's still going to be crack... just written more nicely, haha.

"...?" Lamiroir touches the door with one long-fingered hand, trying to discern where she is.

["Where am I? Machi?"] She stumbles on the front step, but catches herself before falling completely. ["Is anyone here?"] She stands and wrings her hands together. She can't let anyone see how disoriented she is. "Hello?" She tries English.
